Who We Are

The Lee County Economic Development Group (LCEDG) helps shape policies and programs that improve the business climate through targeted efforts in business retention, expansion, workforce development, marketing, and new business attraction. Our team is here to serve you and your business through a variety of services. The LCEDG is a public-private partnership with the Lee County Board of Supervisors, the City of Fort Madison, the City of Keokuk, and over 50 private investors as part of LCEDG's Lee County 2023 Forward Together Campaign.

Our Services:

• Site Selection and Analysis: We provide expertise on land, office, manufacturing, and distribution opportunities. We also work with property owners, utility partners, and government offices to find the correct parcel or building for your company.
• Access: We facilitate connections with government liaisons, talent recruiters, training providers, business leaders, banks, attorneys, accountants, and local contractors. This makes it easier to find the right partners to achieve your business goals. 
• Workforce Development: LCEDG partners with employers, educators, workforce organizations, and state and regional partners to strengthen Lee County's talent pipeline. Through one of the region's first collaborative workforce development partnerships, we focus on talent recruitment and retention, skills development, and helping young residents better understand the wide range of career opportunities available in Lee County and the surrounding region.
• Data Insights: We provide free data regarding competitive wages, area population, demographics, and workforce numbers.
• Business Relocation Assistance: We simplify the relocation process by sharing state and local incentives.
