Lee County EDG Breaks World Record
Lee County EDG announces Lee County is in the Guinness Book of World Records for “Most people planting flower bulbs simultaneously” with 1,463 people planting about 8,000 flower bulbs in 28 minutes. Lee County broke the standing 850 people record held by a group from the United Kingdom on October 18, 2016, however received final confirmation from Guinness this week.

Siemens Celebrates Multiple Milestones
It’s been busy month and a time for celebration in the Siemens Fort Madison blade facility. On March 23, employees gathered throughout the day to mark their 15,000th blade milestone, celebrate ten years of production at the facility and the recent production startup of the 59 meter blade. This is the fifth blade type produced in the Fort Madison.

8th Grade Students Explore Southeast Iowa Careers
Career Exploration Day takes over Community College
Over 360 students from Fort Madison, Keokuk, Central Lee, Holy Trinity and Keokuk Christian attended the 8th Grade Career Exploration Day hosted by Lee County EDG, the Burlington Partnership and Southeastern Community College today.
